Ways to obtain an Istanbulkart independently?
It’s available for sale at electronic ticket dispensers for 50TL, requiring cash payment. Alternatively, Istanbulkart kiosks also offer it. At Istanbul and Sabiha Gokcen Airports, find the ticket vending machines located on the bus level.
Recharging an Istanbulkart and its usage for public transit
Istanbulkart can be recharged using electronic devices, its mobile application, or at affiliated booths and Migros stores. To operate Istanbulkart, simply tap the card against the reader.
Istanbulcard pricing and transportation expenses
The Istanbulkart costs 50 Turkish Lira. Standard trips (short to medium range) are priced at 7.67 TL. Within the initial 2 hours of card activation, the second ride costs 5.49 TL, while the third is 4.17 TL. The Metrobus charges vary from 5.49 TL to 11.38 TL based on the travel distance.
